Margaret Boozer is a Washington, DC ceramic artist whose work
encompasses both pottery and sculpture. She explores clay as raw
material dug from the earth, as functional pot, as pot shard and
as
building material. She received her BFA in sculpture from Auburn
University in 1989, and her MFA in ceramics from the New York State
College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1992. She teaches ceramics
at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC. Her
work is
included in the collection of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian
Institution, as well as in many private collections.
