The Art Museum of the Americas,  the Papalote Children’s Museum and the Mexican Cultural Institute, in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the OAS are pleased to announce the opening of Mexico: Festival of Toys, an interactive exhibit of hand-made toys for both celebration and play. 

This exhibition will be on view at the
Art Museum of the Americas (201 18th Street, N.W.) from December 14, 2007 through March 16, 2008
.  Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am-5 pm (closed Mondays and Federal holidays).

A series of interactive workshops for children is planned for Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2-4pm and by appointment through the duration of the exhibit, where participants will learn from hands-on activities, such as painting and dressing a doll, and creating a piñata.  For more information on these programs, please call (202) 458-3362 or click here
