Born in Sao
Paulo, Brazil 1944, she studied Design with Yolanda Mohaly and Painting
with Juan Ponc in Brazil. She also studied Engraving at the Alvares Penteado
Foundation and took courses at the Brazilian School for Fine Arts and
participated in a seminar on Philosophy on the Studies of Rudolf Steiner,
Emerson College, Forest Row. UK. Some of her recent solo exhibitions include
the following: 1999-Nara Roesler Gallery, Objects and Paintings, Sao Paulo,
Brazil; 1995- Moreira Salles Institute, Casa de Cultura de Pocos de Caldas,
Brazil- Guido Viaro Museum, Curitiba, Brazil; 1991- Museum of Modern Art,
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil-Montesanti Gallery, Sao Paulo, Brazil; 1988 -Candido
Menes Cultural Center, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 1988- Candido Menes Cultural
Center, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 1987 Caixas, Millan Gallery, Sao Paulo,
Brazil.
Musatti has
received some of the following awards and honors: First Prize for "New
outstanding artist of APCA" Association of Art Critics of Sao Paulo in
1983 and Honorable Mention on the International Biennale of the "Ilustradores
de Bratislava" in 1979. Musatti has participated in numerous Collective
Exhibitions both in Brazil and abroad. Most recently she participated
in a Two-artist exhibit at the Art Museum of the Americas in Washington,
D.C., in 2000, Elective Afinities I, in Casa das Rosas, Sao Paulo in 1998.
