More information about Art After Dark

Art After Dark is the largest annual fundraiser for AMA | Art Museum of the Americas (AMAmuseum.org) of the Organization of American States (OAS). The event aims to raise funds to produce our exhibitions showcasing modern and contemporary art from the Americas and Spain.

This year, on August 28th, we anticipate a crowd of at least 700 people and will open the museum until 1am. Our signature element of the event is our reel of video art projected onto the OAS main building facade. 

Here are some photos from last year's Art After Dark

We are seeking video art from artists produced in the Americas and Spain, within the last 5 years. Please review the following requirements:

• Must have been produced in (or by citizens of) the countries of the Americas (list of countries here: http://www.oas.org/en/member_states/), Spain, or Portugal
• The video must be within 1-8 mins. Artists must be able to send HD video files (.mov or .mp4) if selected.
• The video must not require sound to be viewed, not all videos will feature sound.
• It is encouraged that videos relate to the topics of peace, innovation for development, human rights, tolerance, and diversity- though this is not necessarily required.

Those selected artists will be fully credited at the event and will be given two general admission tickets to the event for the artist and their guest.
